1. Scope of Protection
Sicilian Shield is an optional service agreement between the Customer and nerowear. By selecting this service at checkout, nerowear assumes full responsibility for the safety of your package during transit. This protection covers:

Loss during transit:
Packages confirmed as lost by the carrier.

Theft:
Packages stolen during the shipping process before official delivery.

Damage:
Items that arrive physically damaged due to handling during transit (must be reported immediately).
2. The "Priority Reship" Guarantee
The core value of the Sicilian Shield is our commitment to time. Unlike standard shipping procedures, which require a lengthy investigation by the carrier (often 14-30 days), Sicilian Shield customers receive Priority Reshipping. Once a shipping irregularity is established, we will ship a replacement item within 24-48 business hours, regardless of the status of the carrier's internal investigation.
3. Conditions of Coverage
Duration:
Coverage begins the moment the package leaves our boutique and expires when the carrier marks the shipment as "Delivered".
Reporting Period:
Any claims regarding damage or non-delivery must be reported to nerowear customer service within 48 hours of the expected or actual delivery date.
Burden of Proof:
In case of damage, the Customer must provide photographic evidence of both the packaging and the product.
4. Exclusions
Sicilian Shield does not cover:
- Theft occurring after successful delivery to the specified address (e.g., packages taken from a porch or hallway after delivery).
- Delivery errors caused by incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the Customer.
- Shipments where the Customer has directly requested "delivery without signature" or other delivery modifications from the carrier.
5. Service Fees & Refunds
The cost for the Sicilian Shield is €4.95 per order. These fees are non-refundable once the shipment has been dispatched, as the service is active throughout the entire logistics process.
6. Legal Status
Sicilian Shield is a supplementary service contract provided directly by nerowear. It is not a formal insurance product as defined by the Financial Supervision Act (Wft). nerowear reserves the right to deny claims in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.
